The Punjab government has decided to give free tablet (tabs) computers to schoolchildren in 55,000 public schools in the Punjab province under a phased events. The Punjab government has furthermore determined to upload curriculum books in these tablet, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan Punjab education minister said at the marking of Telenor Global Countdown affirmation by Punjab natural environment Protection Department (EPD) receptionist Anwar Rasheed and Telenor Pakistan Vice-President Aslam Hayat at Children’s Library Complex on Wednesday.
Telenor and EPD marked the affirmation worth Rs12.5 million to facilitate 1,500 scholars of 350 public schools in the province.
The minister applauded Telenor local head Nasir Imam for floating the idea of tablet computers for schoolchildren elderly 10 and overhead in all public schools in the province where government was providing free textbooks to needy students.
