LAHORE: player Resham has made a comeback in films after a gap of seven years as her video ‘Swarangi’ will strike cinemas next month.
The imminent movie belongs to a kind of cinema renowned as middle-of-the-road movies. It’s a financial movie but without customary promenades in which champion sprints after the heroine around the trees.
The subject of the one hour and 30 minutes Urdu video rotates around the menace of drug addiction and its penalties.
The article goes that Salma’s married man Jamal is not the easiest man to get along with, but for the sake of their young kids, she resides with him. Jamal is a heroin addict, reliant on Salma’s gut feelings to protect her marriage avowal so he can take benefit of her honorability to get his every day fix. He is lost without her, desperate to change although eager to deal his soul to the devil if need be. whereas Salma is powerless to change his sick ways, she has to stand against the odds and labour for everything she got.
‘Swarangi’ is an entwined article about life, destiny, forfeit and survival.
The cast includes Resham, Naveed Akbar, Ayub Khoso,Waseem Manzoor, Hamza Mushtaq, Shahzaib Johar, Zulfiqar Gullshahi, Aftab Nisar, Abrar Husain and Umar Farooq.
Resham commenting on her imminent movie notified Dawn that Pakistan had marvelous actors and controllers.
“It is the need of the hour to create videos on exclusive topics. ‘Swarangi’ is based on genuine events and shot in Mianwali to give it a natural gaze. Hopefully movies goers will like my comeback and appreciate my presentation in a very demanding role.”
The film has been in writing and administered by Fida Husain, an innovative visual and canvas artist. He has administered many melodies videos and short performances in the course of nine years. He has fulfilled his lifelong aspiration to direct a feature film. The video has been made by Mazhar Abbas.
‘Swarangi’ is an individually financed movie. The movie was shot over the course of four months in three distinct spells in distant and country areas of Mianwali. The video has 90 per cent exterior location.
