Seven persons died in Larkana Due to Poisonous liquor

The consumption of lethal moonshine left seven persons dead and three other ones hospitalised in Larkana on Friday. The two hospitalised patients are said to be in critical condition.

At least 10 individuals who drank the toxic liquor were conveyed from diverse localities to Chandka health College Hospital on Thursday night.

Seven persons, recognised as Saeed Jakhro, Zahid Abbasi, Amar Lal, Rizwan Masih, Javed Masih, Farooq Masih and Owais Hariya, could not endure. It is reported that relatively poor consumers purchase cheap home-brewed liquor throughout the year as they cannot pay for the costly liquor traded by bootleggers and permitted store proprietors. The liquor assertions, however, some inhabits, particularly throughout vacations, as those engaged in the illicit output of moonshine use substandard alcohol to meet the advanced demand and maximise their earnings.

“I have administered Larkana SPP Khalid Mustafa Korai to take precautionary measures to curb this illicit business,” guaranteed Sindh Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla, while talking to Thenewstrans.
