Lahore Metro train deal sign with China
Pakistan and China signed project agreement for Metro train service to Lahore; the project will cost $1.6 billion and will train route length of 27.1 km.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Punjab province of Pakistan and China’s National Development Reform Commission, the Chairman of the agreement signed in Shanghai on Thursday morning.
Pakistan’s President Mamnoon Hussein and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping also attended the signing ceremony.
Speaking to reporters later, Shahbaz Sharif said that the completion of this project will benefit millions of travelers.
Under the agreement, in Lahore, Thukr nayaz bag to Dera Gujran nearly 27 kilometer track will be laid, most of which, approximately 25 kilometers of its part will be built on flyovers.
Metro train route
The train route will be Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, Chauburji, Mall Road, Lakshmi Chowk, Railway Station, Garhi Shahu, GT Road and Pakistan minutes and its ends on Dera Gujran
According to preliminary estimates, nearly half a million citizens will be able to travel daily. It is Pakistan’s first Metro train project. Earlier in Lahore has launched the country’s first metro bus.

Before this project the from Gajumatay to Shahdara Lahore bus projects is running successfully. The bus route is approximately 27 km. And around 27 stops are made. Metro Bus just now being introduced in many other cities.
