KARACHI: Additional IG Traffic, Ghulam Qadir Thebo broadcast on Wednesday that motorcycle rickshaws have prohibited in Karachi.

He said that the conclusion to ostracise the Qingqi rickshaws was taken after the revelation that thieved motorcycles were being used in the rickshaws.

The AIG warned the proprietors not to bring their rickshaws on roads as orders had been dispatched to all the policeman positions to impound rickshaws and apprehend their drivers in case of violation.

He said that the rickshaws were furthermore initating adversities in traffic flow. “It was illegal and we have begun crackdown against motorcycle rickshaws,” he added

  1. KARACHI: Students and parents of the students have urged the Governor Sindh, Chief Minster, Education Minster Sindh and Vice Chancellor Karachi University to constitute a commission to examine reasons of very high number of students declared filed in B.com part two examination of 2013.
    They also demanded reexamination of papers.
    The Karachi University declared B.com part two 2013 result in April 2014 in which out of 24409 regular students appeared in the examination 20527 students have been declared fail. Pass percentage was only 15.90 percent
    A number of students expressed their surprise over the result and claimed that they have done well in the exam and hoping good result.
    They also expressed surprise as only six students out of 24409 manage to secure papping marks in third division.

    Comparing Karachi university result with Punjab university it shows that Punjab university declared B.com result and the pass percentage was 48.65 percent in 2012(result declared by PU in September 2013).
    Students alleged since the appointment of new controller of the policy of Karachi university has changed and adopted policy to hold as much students back as possible.

    They also alleged that pass percentage is continuously dropping and in 2012 Karachi University B.com Part I, II Results 2012 the overall pass percentage was 21.58 per cent, and 17,694 students declared fail.
    In 2012 a number students were declared fail by only 20 to 15 number in aggregate total whereas they obtained passing marks in all the subjects( pass percentage is 40 percent and aggregate percentage 45 percent).The same is the case this year.

    They said how it is possible that in Punjab more than 48 percent student pass in B.com and in Karachi only 15 .90 get though.
    They question and said that the statistic shows either students of Punjab are extra brilliant then students of Sinhd or it is a deliberate attempt of controller of examination Karachi University to push Sindh students back.
    The result comparison is as below:-
    Karachi University B.Com Part II result 2013 registered students 25455 appeared 24409 out of them 20527 declared fail and pass percentage was 15.90 percent. 787 students got first division, 3089 second division and 6 got third division. (Result declared on April 2014)

    The overall pass percentage was 21.58 per cent, and 17,694 students failed to clear their exams, the controller of examinations, KU, further said.

    (Saturday, September 01, 2012): Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the result of B.Com Part-II Annual Examination 2012. Total candidates 44309 and pass percentage is 48.65. Boys appeared 28446 and girls appeared 15863 while 12064 boys and 9491 girls passed the examination. Boys pass percentage is 42.41 while girls pass percentage is 59.83.
