Punjab: The government has imposed a ban on pillion riding in Lahore on Muharram 9 and 10, thenewstrans reported on Wednesday.
Women, children and aged will be exempted from the ban.

Regarding mobile phone service suspension, the law minister said it will be decided by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif today.
As per the security design for the holy month announced previous, 15,700 policemen will perform security obligation at more than 600 processions and 5,369 majalis in the town.
Around 400 policemen will also present security duty in plainclothes at parades and majalis at perceptive positions.
Police would patrol inside a 100-metres radius of majalis and parades, while parking allotments will be set up 100 metres away from parades and majalis.
