For establishment of free and independent Election Commission, Pakistan Muslim League (Q) along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf built a coalition, and decided to get support of other parties.

On Wednesday, senior members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad have a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and other members of PMLQ’s.

PTI and the PML-Q had formed a committee consisting of four members, who will review the current rules and based on the 2013 elections, and the remedial aspect of the future will find a way to bring the national consensus. He said the PML-Q Kamil Ali Agha Tariq Bashir Cheema, while PTI Dr Arif Alvi and Raza are part of committee.

On the occasion, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that the Election Commission not all alike. He expressed the view that one or two judges would automatically resign.

At this level, the PTI leader Javed Hashmi said that the Election Commission not met the expectation of the people, “when the chief of the Election Commission Fakhruddin G Ibrahim resigned, morally the same day other authorities should also be resigns.’
PTI’s said that such examples are found in the by-elections to the Election Commission which is a measure of irresponsibility.
