SHC order to remove Pervez Musharraf name from ECL

Sindh high court accepts the application of General Pervez Musharraf and ordered to remove his name from ECL (Exit Control List). Sindh High Court has issued an order to lifting ban on former President Pervez Musharraf on going abroad.

Under the headed a two member bench by Justis Mazhar Ali shah for removing the Pervez Musharraf name from ECL heard the petition and rejected the government’s stand.

The federal government argued that pervaiz Musharif is facing the cases against him which are Benazir Bhutto murder case, Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case, Lal Masjid and Article 6 case. He wants to exception to not be present before court on these cases. The federal government said that Pervez Musharraf application is malicious, if his name was removed from Exit Control List so they will not come back again in Pakistan. Sindh high court had reserved its decision on this case in the last hearing, conducted on May 29.

Federal government stand

The federal government argued that pervaiz Musharif is facing the cases against him which are Benazir Bhutto murder case, Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case, Lal Masjid and Article 6 case. He wants to exception to not be present before court on these cases.

The federal government said that Pervez Musharraf application is malicious, if his name was removed from Exit Control List so they will not come back again in Pakistan.

Sindh high court had reserved its decision on this case in the last hearing, conducted on May 29.
