Foreign assets case
Lahore High Court issued a notice to 26 politicians including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, former President Asif Ali Zardari and PTI chief Imran Khan’s in the case of transferring assets abroad.
Barrister Iqbal Jafri applicant argued that the growing debt burden on the country and around the Pakistani politician’s assets of $ 200 billion would be transferred abroad.
They argued that these assets be brought back so many economic problems can be solved.
During the trial the court was told that many politicians regarding foreign assets case has not received notice to appear in court, on this Lahore High Court Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan ordered that those politicians who do not receive notice advertised them on newspapers to appear in court on June 16.
Remember that earlier this month that the Pakistani government on behalf of Pakistani nationals illegally held in Swiss banks to return $ 200 billion is in contact with the Government of Switzerland.
Parliamentary Secretary of finance saying about tax treaty between Pakistan and Switzerland
National Assembly Parliamentary Secretary of finance Rana Muhammad Afzal told on Treasury to the Cabinet House that tax treaty revision is approved between Pakistan and Switzerland.
According to him move to reconsider the agreement will identify those Pakistanis whose funds illegally held in Swiss banks.
