Eight people killed in clashes with police in Lahore
Lahore: in the area of model town near the secretariat of Menhaj-ul-Quran, 8 people were dead in clash between police and the workers of Pakistan Awami Tahreek, at least 98 people injured in the result of this incident.
Jinnah hospital sources confirmed the death of eight people, including two women; while more than 150 people including 15 Police persons have been injured.
Shahbaz Sharif sorry to Tahir-ul-Qadri
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has ordered to establish a judicial commission and enjoined a daily basis hearing for this incident.
Addressing a press conference, Chief Minister said that he “regretted the killing of Awami Tehreek workers. I’m sorry derived from the deaths of workers to Tahir ul qaderi.’ He confirmed eight people were killed and 97 injured in the incident.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the death toll is much higher.
He said that the protective barriers around the secretariat was imposed four year ago on the order of High court, if government wants then this matter could be discuss to solve it.
